Scar
I was born with two brothers in January 2005 in Namibia. My one brother was killed at two months old by a Hiëna. Because we were a threat to the farmer's livestock we were captured and sent to a National Park on the border of South Africa. Unfortunately, my remaining brother and my mother were killed by poachers when I was 18 months old.
A few months later I was illegaly trapped and taken to a farm in South Africa where I was placed in a very small enclosure. Till today I don't know why they took me because I wasn't treated very well there. I was hardly ever fed and sometimes went for days without water. If it wasn't for a very kind farmworker who reported this to the authorities, I would have surely died a horrible death. I was taken from that horrible place by Nature Conservation, and was taken in by the kind people on the Daniell Cheetah Breeding Farm. I have been here now for nearly three years and have fathered about 25 cubs. I am very proud to play an essential role in making sure that our species survives for generations to come.
